Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia -- The Buddha Bikini controversy took another turn
today when concerned Buddhists who contacted Victoria's Secret was told that
"we do not believe that the personage depicted on the tankini is Buddha."
BANGKOK, Thailand -- Victoria's Secret - the American company known for its
racy lingerie - may have gone too far with its new bikini featuring images
of Buddha. The swimsuit has angered government officials and clergy in this
mainly Buddhist country.
San Francisco, Calif. (USA) -- Sales of new Victoria's Secret and OndadeMar
swimsuits featuring Buddhist images have been halted on company websites
after Vietnamese Americans voiced disagreement with designs, according to
Vietnamese-language media.
