Just a brief reminder about some items of interest up for auction: DARK TOWER (Milton Bradley, 1981) - A classic game by any standard. Up to 4 players go on a quest, journeying around the board to collect three magic keys to enable them to attack the Dark Tower and liberate the kingdom! The tower actually keeps track of all the spoils won by the players as well as referee the dragon and brigand attacks, handle all the exploration of tombs and ruins and bargaining in bazaars along the way. After all these years, this game STILL plays well and is a brilliant fantasy game! This one is in MINT CONDITION! And YES, the tower works! DYNASTY (Onoma Productions, 1969) - Ambitious game for up to 8 players of diplomacy, economics and warfare as players vie for control of ancient China. Each player represents a different faction with DIFFERENT goals! Highly sophisticated play especially for a game from 1969! Lots of large wooden pieces, plastic soldiers (with moveable arms!), large canvas map "board" and more. Comes in a large, red, circular metal canister! A very unique game and extremely hard to find. Reportedly less than 500 made (and, after 40 years, probably only a handful still in existence). A TRUE RARITY! MR WHO (3M, 1973) - Unusual deduction game. There are 32 Suspect cards. The suspect is always the same man but could be wearing one of four different hats, sunglasses or not, and one of four differently-colored sweaters. There are also 32 Mr. Who cards which have written descriptions that match the Suspect cards but with the characteristics in random order. In each round, one player is Mr. Who and picks a Mr. Who card - the other players are detectives and try to deduce which suspect he is. They play cards to the grid on the board to get information on the three items on the Mr. Who card. During this process, Mr. Who commits more crimes and the reward money increases. After everyone has been Mr. Who once the player with the most money wins. One of the last 3M releases! MINT IN THE ORIGINAL SHRINKWRAP! RUSSIAN CIVIL WAR (SPI, 1976)- Historical simulation of the military and political conflict of 1918-1921 which abolished the Czarist regime and created the foundation of the Soviet Union. Each player controls one or more factions drawn from the revolutionary, counter-revolutionary, nationalist and interventionist forces which historically participated. Victory depends first on the side one wants (either revolutionary or counter-revolutionary) winning the war and second on being the player most successful defeating the forces of the losing side. Special rules cover the Politburo Central Committee, purges, the Czar and more. Optional rules permit any number of players, as well as solitaire. This part of SPI’s Power Politics Series. Designed by Jim Dunnigan. STAR WARS EPIC DUELS (Milton Bradley/Hasbro, 2002) - Star Wars Epic Duels gives players a chance to experience individual battles between famous Star Wars characters set on different board locations. Players choose a major character that has one or two minor characters with it. Each set of characters has its own deck of cards which are used for attack, defense, or special abilities. Each deck is unique with certain special powers relevant to the major character. There are different modes of play; one on one battles, up to three teams can play against each other, or up to six players can play a free for all, last man standing battle.
