Kennwortänderung vom Client aus geht nicht mehr

Domaincontroller mit folgender smb.conf (nur der global Teil)

Kennwortänderung vom CLient aus scheitert mit der Fehlermeldung "Das
System kann Ihr Kennwort nicht ändern, da die Domäne ABCDE" nicht
verfügbar ist".

Schräg an der ganzen Sache ist, dass das über 2 Jahre lang immer
funktioniert hat. Änderung an der smb.conf keine. Einzige Änderung am
System war ein Neubau des RAID1, weil eine Platte wegen eines Defekts
getauscht werden musste.

unix password sync = Yes

bringt auch keine Änderung.
