Da habe ich ja mit meiner Grundfrage was angerichtet :-)
Ich nehme jetzt einfach "./"  und "./../xxx/" usw., also relative
Pfade. Die
Funktion getcwd kann ich mir dann sparen. Und  das funktioniert doch
tatsächlich bislang problemlos auch unter Windows.
