nnimap stirbt bei "generating active list"

Hallo!

Ich versuche gerade mit emacs-23.1 und einem funktionierendem News-Gnus
das nnimap frontend in Betrieb zu nehmen. Wenn ich den imap Server
im Server Buffer anwähle heisst es:

nnimap: Generating active list for XXX...

Dann kommt:

Apparently circular structure being printed

und nix passiert mehr.

In imap-debug finde ich das:

Hat jemand eine Idee, wie ich da weiterkommen kann oder einen Hinweis,
wie ich das debugge?
