Was ich das auf dem ersten Blick sehe ist das der vom Provider immer ein
Timout-Event auf PPP-Ebene sehr früh bekommt und garnicht erst die
PPP-Aushandlung für die Authorisierung (CHAP oder PAP) durchläuft und
dann direkt die Leitung vermutlich wegwirft. Warum ist da jetzt auf dem
ersten Blick nicht erkennbar (Läuft da sauber die Windows-Dienst bzw.
gibts keinerlei Fehler im Windows-Event-Viewer in der VM-Umgebung ?)

Kannst du dann mal in den Modemeinstellung die Checkbox für die
Protokollaufzeichnung aktivieren und das erneut versuchen.
Dann sieht man was auf AT-Commandoebene in der VM-Umgebung passiert.

Alternativ:
Kannst du mal im Terminalprg. Hyperterminal das Modem am Comport direkt
öffnen und eine manuelle Anwahl an dieselbe Providerrufnummer mit
vorherigen Initalisieren mit AT&F durchführen. Bekommst du irgendeine
Loginaufforderung des Providers im Terminalprg. zumindest dann angezeigt ?

Eventuell musst du auch nochmal den passenden "INF"-Treiber deines
Modems in deiner VM-Umgebung mal installieren, damit er die richtigen
AT-Initcommandos schickt. Das sehen wir dann ggf. anhand des
Modemprotokolls im FEhlerfall.
