Hi, this going to be tough; I have an ibm 5110 model 2 with 32 kb, basic only, no build in tape drive the case: Because there is no built in tape drive it is been told that there is no build in tape logic (card h2) and thus only the disk unit can be attached, in this case a very big one !!!, the size of a mainframe by it self and too heavy to have it shipped internationally my question: I can lay my hand on ibm 6360 (dual 8 inch drives but with less capacity) and have some brand new 8 inch drives laying around (with the "modern" flat cable floppy connecter) would it be possible to hook them up to my 5110 ? or is their a way to fit it with tape logic and look for an IBM 5106 tape drive or are their any ways to hook some media too it ? Any help is welcome, the machine is from 1978 and I hope that there is still knowledge out there regarding these machines. Greets Kevin[ Auf dieses Posting antworten ]
